The rules and regulations of estate agent boards in England state that only one board is allowed to be put at one property. Putting up more than one board at a single property is considered illegal. However, if there are flats in the said property, the council will allow putting up one board per flat.

·  When Should The Boards Be Removed?

As per the law, if the property has been sold or rented out, the board should be removed within fourteen days of the agreement.

·  What Should Be The Size Of The Board?

The law states that a residential advertisement should not exceed 0.5 sq meters and a commercial advertisement should not exceed 2 sq meters.

·  What Should Be The Height Of The Estate Agent Board

According to the law, the height of the board should not be more than 4.6 meters above the ground level. In case it is a conventional area, then the height should not be more than 3.6 meters.

The Consequences Of Not Following The Rules And Regulations

As per the law, the boards that do not comply with the rules and regulations set up by the government will be considered unlawful and a criminal offense as well. The owner of the property can be subjected to legal action.
